Participate in creative and fun ways to recognize Our Extraordinary Pack employees for this week long celebration from May 5th - May 11th 2024. Enjoy the Theme Day activites and/or create your own appreciation and wellness initiatives. When we practice wellness and team building and show appreciation for one another, we are creating a culture for our Pack to thrive.

Employee Appreciation Week Featured Events
Mental Health Awareness Bingo
- Play Mental Health Awareness Bingo and participate in mental health-related activities. HR Wellness will select 12 random bingo participants to receive an NC State mug or cup. Download this bingo card to play.
Howling Cow Ice Cream Socials
- Wednesday, May 8, 2-4 p.m., Stafford Commons (behind Talley Student Union, 2610 Cates Ave.)
- Thursday, May 9, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., The Corner, 941 Main Campus Drive, on Centennial Campus
- We want to thank our extraordinary pack for making NC State a great place to work. Drop by Stafford Commons or The Corner for some free Howling Cow ice cream while supplies last.
Drop-In Pickleball
- Tuesday, May 7, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Thursday, May 9, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Come play pickleball for free on Centennial Campus in Research Building IV in suite 1700. The courts are shorter than standard courts but are accessible for players of all skill levels. If you don’t have a paddle to play, no problem. Eight paddles will be on-site, and anyone who needs a paddle can use one. Games will be played to seven points. A moderator will be on-site to help manage questions or concerns.
Staff Senate Hike at Lake Raleigh
- Tuesday, May 8, 9:30 a.m.
- Join Staff Senate for a hike around Lake Raleigh. Meet at the Alumni Center parking lot at 9:30 a.m. The center is located at 2450 Alumni Drive on Centennial Campus.
Trivia With NC State Libraries
- Wednesday, May 8, 12:15-1 p.m.
- Grab your lunch and bring some friends to suite 1650 in Partners Building I, 1017 Main Campus Drive, to play in a trivia contest hosted by NC State University Libraries staff. You and your co-workers can play as a team, or you can play as an individual. The contest is free and open to everyone. Staff will award prizes each round of the contest. Registration is not required.
Kahoot! Trivia
- Thursday, May 9, 10-10:30 a.m.
- Do you know the original name of Holladay Hall? Do you know where the World War I Memorial is on campus? If you know the answers to those questions, you should register to participate in an NC State history and fun facts trivia game. We will play via Kahoot!, an online platform. Participants will compete with other NC State employees to see who can answer the most questions correctly in the fastest time. Kahoot! is super easy to use. You will not want to miss this opportunity to learn while having fun.
