Here are some important year-end reminders:
- NC State will observe winter break Dec. 22 and 25-29 and will observe the New Year’s Day holiday Jan. 1, 2024. The university will be closed on those days, and employees will receive holiday pay for each day except for Dec. 22. Employees can use annual leave, bonus leave, special bonus leave, comp time or personal observance leave to receive pay on Dec. 22.
- Eligible NC State employees can use up to eight hours of paid time off to observe a personal day of significance, including days of religious or cultural importance. Employees’ allotment of personal observance leave for 2023 will expire on Dec. 31. For more information about this leave time, see the list of FAQs on the University Human Resources website.
