As many as 200 runners participated in the Veterans Day Run and Ceremony on Nov. 10 at NC State. Jeffrey Wright Military and Veteran Services and the Navy ROTC hosted the annual observance. Following the race, the runners and other guests gathered at the Memorial Belltower for a ceremony that marked NC State’s military history and honored the service of NC State students, staff, faculty and alumni veterans. The ceremony included a wreath presentation. Ronald Sneed, a retired Army Reserve major general, was among the guest speakers at the ceremony. Sneed received a Bachelor of Science in 1959 and a Ph.D. in 1971 from the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at NC State.
