After getting my Ph.D. in genetics and molecular biology at Emory University, I ran a wolf preserve for almost three years. So, I was part of a wolf pack before I was part of NC State’s Wolfpack.
I have traveled to over 25 different countries. Tanzania was my favorite (so far). However, I think the most beautiful place I have ever been is the National Parks in southern Utah.
I once spent four months straight in the backcountry with nothing more than the clothes on my back and a backpack full of gear.
I used to do fire performances. I can spin fire (fire staff and poi), and I can eat fire.
I have worked in a lot of different industries in various positions, but I have never loved the people I worked with as much as I have at NC State. Wish I had room to say more!
