The first day of spring is just over a month away. Here are a few things to look forward to as the weather gets warmer:

Ruckus Fast Fired

NC State alums Robert and Ashley Royster will open Ruckus Fast Fired, a pizza restaurant, in Talley Student Union this month. The restaurant will serve pizza slices, specialty pizzas, wings and salads. The Roysters own a local chain of award-winning pizza restaurants. You can read more about Ruckus Fast Fired and its owners on the NC State Dining website

Day of Giving

NC State’s fourth annual Day of Giving will be held March 23. Day of Giving is a 24-hour fundraising effort that unites the university community and ignites our competitive spirit through fun and unique social media and giving challenge matches.

Plant Sciences Building Dedication Ceremony

The new NC State University Plant Sciences Building on Centennial Campus will be formally dedicated on April 12 at 11 a.m., and the NC State community is invited to attend the ceremony. Chancellor Randy Woodson will be among those who will deliver special remarks at this event. Following the ceremony, guests can tour the state-of-the-art facility and attend a reception. The five-story, 185,000-square-foot, $160 million building includes research labs, growth chambers, environmental rooms and rooftop greenhouses, as well as offices and conference rooms.

LIVE@Lake Raleigh

LIVE@Lake Raleigh, a free, family-friendly concert series hosted on Centennial Campus, will take place on four dates this spring: April 7 and 21 and May 5 and 19. The event organizers are still planning events for the series and will announce more details soon.
