- I am a native North Carolinian and love this state.
- I received both of my graduate degrees in counselor education — a Master of Education and a Doctor of Philosophy — from NC State.
- I directed the Women’s Center in 1993 and was the person who started what is now known as the 24/7 Sexual Assault Helpline.
- I met my husband here at NC State when we were both graduate students.
- I have run two half marathons and hope to run another one before I hang up my running shoes.
