- Like many people in North Carolina, I am not a native of the state. I grew up in Western New York in the Finger Lakes region but have called North Carolina home for over 20 years.
- I have worked at the university for 22 years. I began as a temporary employee and enjoyed getting to know the different colleges and departments before settling into my permanent position.
- I have a dog, Baxter, a shih tzu-Maltese mix that weighs 12 pounds but acts like he’s much bigger than he is. I love that he has a strong personality.
- In my spare time, I like to spend time with my wife and our dog. We are homebodies. We make time to keep up with family who live across the country. Gardening is a favorite pastime.
- Every winter break, my wife and I take a cruise over Christmas — usually to the Caribbean. It is different being away for Christmas, but we love to travel, and it’s when our schedules permit.
