I earned a Bachelor of Science in biology and a master’s of life sciences at NC State University.
I have been on the NC State campus as either a student or staff member since the age of 18; I began my academic studies at the university as a freshman in August 1982.
I was a resident advisor in Becton Residence Hall in the Quad in the ’80s.
I have been an adjunct instructor for introductory biology lab courses at Meredith College for 27 years. I received the 2021-22 Adjunct Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching in April 2022.
I’m a longtime film music enthusiast and the founder of an independent record label, Howlin’ Wolf Records. The label has released over 60 film scores on CD, working with many legendary film score composers.
