I earned my degree in agribusiness at the University of Mount Olive in 2022. I initially did not plan to study agriculture since no one else in my family had ties to the industry. Years later, I’m a field crops agent.
I married my high school sweetheart shortlyafter starting my job with NC State Extension. We married a month after our engagement. We happily raise two dogs and a pet rabbit.
I grew up spending nearly every weekend along the intercoastal waterways. My dad would take my mom and me out in a small metal skiff boat, and we would catch fish, crab and shrimp.
I am an amateur cook. I enjoy cooking classic southern dishes and cajun style foods. Gumbo is my favorite dish to make.
I performed the coin toss at an East Carolina University and Marshall football game in 2012 for winning an art contest.
