Jameco McKenzie
  • I came to the U.S. from the Bahamas as an international student to study communications more than a decade ago. I fell in love with higher education and student affairs and have remained in the U.S. ever since.
  • I have lived in three states and five cities in the U.S. Being in all these different cultural contexts has helped me broaden my worldview and learn so much about people.
  • I’ve completed three-degree programs and two graduate certificates. While working on my Doctor of Education degree at Gardner-Webber University, I was enrolled at two other institutions and earned my two graduate certificates almost simultaneously.
  • I travel out of town and explore food in a new space at least one weekend every month.
  • I have watched every episode of Law and Order SVU, Organized Crime and the NCIS series. Additionally, I go to an AMC theater to watch movies at least twice a month.
