  • I am a leap-year baby. My birthday is Feb. 29. I have a birthday once every four years. There are approximately 205,000 leap babies in the U.S. The probability of being born on Leap Day is one in 1,461.
  • I am an alumnus of NC State and had the privilege of knowing Augustus M. Witherspoon, who was the second Black student to earn a doctorate at NC State, and Lawrence Clark, founder of the NC State African American Cultural Center. I’ve worked on campus for 20 years. I love being part of the Pack.
  • I am a Red Cross volunteer transportation specialist and blood donor ambassador. Giving back to the community brings me much joy and peace.
  • In July 2020, after eight long years, I published my first book, titled In That DARK Place. The book tells a story of struggle and triumph.
  • In November 2021, I graduated from the Arize Institute of the Five-Fold Ministry and Bible School, receiving my honorary master’s degree in “five-fold ministry.”
