Donate Toys, Food, Winter Clothing Items to Collection Drive
The NC State community is encouraged to donate toys, food and winter clothing items to an on-campus collection drive.
Staff Senate organizes the effort each year as part of its commitment to community service and engagement.
“The staff at NC State is a giving community,” said Arlene Mabry, chair of Staff Senate’s Community Service and Engagement Committee. “These drives are set up not only to help our university community but also the community outside NC State.”
Staff Senate will collect items for the drive through Dec. 17 at collection sites on campus. You can drop off items for the drive Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at one of the sites.

Toys for Tots
Toys for Tots is a U.S. Marines-run annual holiday toy drive that takes place nationwide. The Marines distribute the toys collected during the drive to children whose parents can’t buy holiday gifts. Toys for Tots collects new, unwrapped toys.
If you prefer, you can order a new toy from Amazon rather than dropping off a toy at a collection site. Please send the toy to the following address: Keta Williams, 2601 Wolf Village Way, Raleigh, 27695. After you place your order, let Staff Senate know by sending an email to staffsenate@ncsu.edu.
Employees also can also drop off items for the drive in the parking lot of the Administrative Services II, 2721 Sullivan Drive, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Dec. 3 and 10.
Feed the Pack Food Drive
Feed the Pack is NC State’s on-campus food pantry for students and employees. The pantry needs a long list of items, including beef and chicken broth, turnip greens, dry rice, and olive and vegetable oils. To see the complete list of needed items, go to Feed the Pack’s website.
Coats for Campus Drive
Each year Staff Senate collects winter clothing items for NC State students. Please consider donating gently used winter coats, sweaters, scarves and gloves.
