- I’m the fun aunt to my six nieces and nephews, ages 9 to 31. Four of them went to their first concert with me. I’m happy making lifelong memories with them, sharing a love of music.
- I conquered the Rock ’n’ Roll half marathon in Virginia Beach, Virginia, with my younger sister many years ago. It was fun and a bucket-list item of mine. I have a medal to prove I did it.
- I love ice hockey and have been a Caniac — a big fan of the Carolina Hurricanes — for more than two decades. Growing up near Canada, I started to love hockey as a 12-year-old attending SUNY college hockey games. Go Hurricanes and NC State Icepack, our club hockey team.
- Volunteering is my passion. The NC Women’s Prison Book Project; the No Woman, No Girl Initiative; Habitat for Humanity; North Carolina food banks; the Climate Reality Project; and ONE are just a few of the great organizations I support.
- I have been a dog mom to four shar-pei dogs over the past 25-plus years. I adore their quirks, love and protection for their families, and wrinkles..
