Red and White Fest: An Employee Celebration

University Human Resources invites you to wear NC State gear and bring your Pack spirit to Miller Fields for Red and White Fest: An Employee Celebration on Friday, Oct. 27, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This celebration of the NC State community and Wolfpack pride will feature food, games, music and giveaways. Food and prizes will be available while supplies last. Come engage with NC State partners, connect with colleagues and celebrate our Wolfpack.

Managers: Encourage Employees To Attend the Fest

Managers, please try to accommodate employees who would like to attend Red and White Fest. In addition, we’d appreciate it if you encourage your team to go. We advocate for teams to attend the fest together for team building and fun. If you can’t attend the on-campus event, we encourage work teams to celebrate their accomplishments by hosting a tailgate or picnic wherever they are.

Help Pack the Shelves

Red and White Fest will also be an opportunity for everyone to participate in Pack the Shelves, a program that supports Feed the Pack, NC State’s food pantry. Bring a food item to the event and drop it off in a container that we will provide for your college or division. Every person who brings a food item can enter a raffle to win prizes. The college or division that collects the most donations will be named the Red and White Fest Champion. Visit the Feed the Pack website to see a list of the pantry’s most-needed food items or to learn how to support the pantry by volunteering or providing monetary donations.

Tell Us Why You’re a Proud Member of the Wolfpack

Part of Red and White Fest’s purpose is to promote Pack pride, and we want to see who has the most pride in our employee community. Send a photo, short video or essay to extraordinarypack@ncsu.edu that describes why you are proud to be a member of the Wolfpack community. We will accept individual and team submissions. The Red and White Fest Spirit Team will select winners from the individual and team submissions that demonstrate the most Pack pride.

The winners from the individual submissions will receive a prize pack that will include a 2023 Red and White Week T-shirt and other NC State swag. The top team will receive a free custom team-building retreat delivered by Learning and Organizational Development, along with Red and White Week T-shirts for the team. (maximum of 25 T-shirts).

Get started and show us your Wolfpack pride. Submissions are due by Oct. 27, and we will announce winners Oct. 30. Creativity is encouraged.

What to Know Before You Go

We can’t wait to see you from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 27 at Miller Fields for Red and White Fest: An Employee Celebration. Here are some reminders and tips to get you ready for this Red and White Week celebration of our employee community and Pack pride:

Miller Fields is behind Carmichael Gymnasium, between Dan Allen and Morrill drives. See this map for directions.
The rain location will be the basketball courts inside Carmichael Gymnasium.
If you didn’t register to attend the fest, you are still welcome to drop by Miller Fields for fun and food.
Employee parking is available in the C lots and the Coliseum Parking Deck with a permit, but we encourage employees to ride a Wolfline bus or walk to Miller Fields.
Support Pack the Shelves by bringing a food item to the fest to donate to the Feed the Pack food pantry. Every person who brings a food item can enter a raffle to win prizes. We’ll have plenty of games to enjoy, including cornhole, can jam and bubble soccer.
Another way to show your employee pride is to snap a selfie or group photo while you’re at the fest, post the photo to X (formerly Twitter) and include the tag #ncstateredandwhitefest. We also plan to post photos on X on the @WolfpackAtWork account, so be sure to follow the account.
