UHR Announces Pack Pride Contest Winners

University Human Resources sponsored a contest to find out which NC State employees have the most Pack pride. Employees submitted photos and short write-ups that illustrate why they are proud to be members of the Wolfpack community.

We accepted both individual and team submissions. The winners from the individual submissions received a prize pack that included a 2022 Red and White Week T-shirt and other NC State swag. The top team won a free custom team-building retreat led by Learning and Organizational Development, along with Red and White Week T-shirts for the team (maximum of 25 T-shirts).

The winners and their submissions are below.

Cris Crissman, instructional support staff

Poole College of Management

My Pack Pride is never stronger than when I deliver flowers from the Flower Shuttle to Feed the Pack each week. Feed the Pack represents all that is good and caring and kind about the Wolfpack and how we look out for each other. A big howl/shout-out to all who volunteer or donate there and share so generously of their time and resources. Go Pack! Long live Pack Pride!!!

David J. Herpy, North Carolina 4-H camping specialist

College of Agriculture and Life Sciences

NC State University is not just an awesome employer; the Wolfpack is like a family to us.  Since beginning my role as NC 4-H camping specialist nine years ago, my family and I have become a proud part of the Wolfpack. From athletic events like basketball, football and soccer games to special events like Packapalooza to enjoying the best ice cream in town at our Howling Cow Creamery, some of our family’s best and favorite memories over the past nine years have been with our NC State Wolfpack. We are so grateful and thankful for the positive impact that NC State University has on Raleigh, the Triangle, the state of North Carolina, and our family. Thank you for all of the memories and for being such an important part of our family’s life over the years!  We are so proud to be a part of the Wolfpack.

Tania Enders, Equal Opportunity and Equity program coordinator

Office of Institutional Equity and Diversity

I’m so proud to be a part of the Wolfpack! NC State is such an awesome place to work! As a relatively new employee working for OIED (only three months in), I’ve learned that students, faculty and staff depend on our team for guidance, resources and support when some very challenging issues arise.

Not only do I work with some amazingly dedicated human beings, but I also notice how absolutely essential their work is to the campus community. I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of this incredible team. I know that the NC State work environment I’ve experienced so far is probably the best ever in my 25-year career.

Go Wolfpack!

P.S. I appreciate those special employees who extended themselves in my first week at work and provided me with welcoming support.

Career Development Center

The Career Development Center prepares and empowers students to identify and pursue their career goals. Our group takes this mission very seriously and we are all proud members of the Wolfpack! Some of us in this group have been at NC State for over 30 years, while others have joined this team within the last year — and of course we have everything in between. This picture was from our recent staff meeting, where we learned more about each other and our connections to the Wolfpack. Some of us have degrees from NC State (our leader has three!) Some of us are currently working on completing our degrees. Some of us are from far away places like Ohio, Florida and even India. Some of us were born and raised in North Carolina. But we all agree that no matter where we are from, we got here to NC State as soon as we could and joined this amazing Wolfpack family!
