After completing graduate school, I worked for NC State’s Center for Urban Affairs. I left NC State in 2009 and came back to NC State in 2020. One can never be away from the Wolfpack for too long!
When I was young, I wanted to be a singer, an actress and a teacher. I have no idea why I thought I could be all three. However, all is not lost because I ended up in the best field: education!
I have worked for both the North Carolina Community Colleges System and the UNC System Office. I have six years of experience providing system-wide/system-level support to colleges and universities.
One of my best-kept secrets is that I have an associate’s degree in culinary arts from Johnson and Wales University. I completed a short stint there after leaving NC State in 2009.
I love ice cream (anything chocolate). It is my Achilles’ heel. One time, a colleague purchased 50 gift certificates from Baskin Robbins and gave them to me as my office going-away gift.
