UHR Launches I-9 Hub, Drive-Through Service
With the reactivation of campus, NC State has resumed in-person I-9 form processing to comply with federal requirements.
In-person processing of I-9 forms was suspended earlier this year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. To aid our campus community with the resumption of in-person processing of the forms, University Human Resources has created two temporary services to assist with the processing of I-9 forms:
- A hub, which launched on Aug. 10, is located in Administrative Services II and will assist new employees who need to complete I-9 forms.
- An I-9 drive-through will run through Aug. 21 in the west deck parking lot and will serve the purpose of inspecting documents provided by individuals during a previous I-9 appointment. This service is only available to employees whose I-9 forms were processed virtually, as permitted temporarily by the federal government during the stay-at-home order. International Employment has contacted those employees and directed them to the drive-through.
