Get Active: Take Free Fitness and Wellness Classes

The NC State Wellness and Recreation Center

HR Wellness will continue to offer two free wellness programs for employees during the 2026-27 academic year. Employee Wellness and Fitness Classes is a series of in-person fitness classes, and Flourish Fridays is a series of wellness activities employees can participate in virtually.

Both programs will offer a class Tuesday, Sept. 29, a university-designated wellness day.

Employee Wellness and Fitness Classes

Employee Wellness and Fitness Classes are a collaboration between HR Wellness and the Wellness and Recreation Center. Employees can take a variety of fitness classes, including yoga, cardio dance and strength training for free. The classes will be available at the center. Class times and days will vary.

The class schedule is available on the Wellness and Recreation Center website. Registration for each class will open four weeks before the class date. To participate in a class, you must register on the website.

If you are not a Wellness and Recreation member, bring your employee ID to the Wellness and Recreation Center on the day you plan to attend a class. Classes are free and do not require a membership to attend.

Flourish Fridays will take place once a month.
