Pumpkin, Spice and Everything Nice: Fall Drinks on Campus

A cup of Port City Java coffee sits beside a laptop.

As the weather cools and the leaves around campus start to change, one of the best ways to enjoy the fall season is by savoring a cup of your favorite fall drink. Port City Java and Caribou Coffee have released their new seasonal drink menus to help the Wolfpack community get into the fall spirit.

Port City Java

Port City Java introduced its fall drink menu Sept. 1, which is earlier than it usually releases the menu, to meet the excitement that always comes with the return of pumpkin-flavored treats. The menu features five new drinks, each with a unique autumn twist:

  • Salted Toffee Latte (hot or iced): An espresso-based beverage featuring apple butter cold foam
  • Caramel Apple Chai (hot or iced): A chai and apple cider topped with whipped cream and a caramel toffee sauce drizzle
  • Maple Caramello Leche (hot or iced): A layered maple spice and vanilla latte topped with a caramel toffee sauce drizzle
  • Autumn Fog (hot only): An oat-milk steeped spiced black tea sweetened with vanilla and honey
  • Apple Butter Shake (blended): A creamy vanilla milkshake blended with apple butter and chai, topped with whipped cream and cinnamon powder

Port City Java has two locations on campus: one at Talley Student Union and another in Engineering Building II on Centennial Campus. You can enjoy a drink inside one of Port City Java’s locations or make a to-go coffee run for a meeting or your team and get a Joe-To-Go box, which comes with cups, cream and sugar. Port City Java’s fall drink menu will be available through Nov. 30.

Caribou Coffee

Caribou Coffee’s Pumpkin Latte has been the fan favorite so far this fall, followed by espresso shakers and chai drinks. Here are some of Caribou’s other popular fall drinks:

  • Pumpkin White Mocha (hot, iced or blended)
  • Pumpkin Chai Latte (hot, iced or blended)
  • Pumpkin Crafted Press (hot or iced)
  • Pumpkin Espresso Shaker

Caribou’s fall drink promotion is scheduled to end Nov. 9, but the drinks will remain available as long as supplies last. Be sure to stop by and enjoy a drink with one of Caribou’s pumpkin muffins soon. Caribou’s fall drink menu is available in the following locations:

  • Hill of Beans at D.H. Hill Library
  • Common Grounds at Hunt Library
  • Elements at Jordan Hall
  • Exchange at Nelson Hall
  • Creature Comforts on the Biomedical Campus
