I joined the Media and Education Technology Resource Center team after nine years of service as an English teacher and school librarian in the Wake County Public School System. I love teaching, technology, books and learning.
I grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs, and I loved being so close to the history and culture of the city. I’m also a huge Eagles fan. Go Birds!
I am proud to work for and support the mission of a land-grant university, as I earned my undergraduate degree in English from the pioneer land-grant institution, Michigan State University.
I became a notary public in March of 2020, and the class I took to earn my commission was the last event I attended before COVID-19 closures began.
I share a name with the comic book hero Cyclops from X-Men. People sometimes approach me and ask if it’s hard saving the world all the time or if my parents were really into superheroes.
