In January, the State Health Plan announced Aetna will become the third-party administrator of the State Health Plan in 2025, replacing Blue Cross and Blue Shield, the current administrator. The State Health Plan has created a website for State Health Plan members to get accurate and up-to-date information about this transition. University Human Resources encourages State Health Plan members to go to the website to read the FAQS on it and sign up for Member Focus, a newsletter that provides information about the State Health Plan. University Human Resources will communicate with NC State employees about this change as needed, including during the 2025 annual enrollment period, which will take place in the fall of 2024.
