Ready To Retire? Don’t Miss NC State’s Retirement Workshop

Editor’s note: Due to employee demand to attend Ready To Retire, University Human Resources has increased the number of virtual seats available for some Ready To Retire sessions. UHR has added 200 seats to each of the following sessions: Navigating Your State Health Plan Retirement Benefits and Medicare, the Teachers’ and State Employees’ Retirement System and Social Security 101: Social Security and Your Retirement Benefits. UHR added the additional seats Feb. 21.

Please join University Human Resources Feb. 23, Feb. 27 and March 1 for its annual Ready To Retire workshop. This year the workshop has a new format. Ready To Retire will take place over the course of four stand-alone sessions rather than a single half-day workshop.

Each session will be virtual and will focus on a specific topic typically covered during the traditional half-day workshop. This format change will offer a more focused learning approach, allowing employees to concentrate on one topic per session.

All employees are welcome to attend the workshop, but employees thinking about retiring in the next five to seven years are strongly encouraged to attend. More details about the workshop sessions are presented below. Employees should register for each session they would like to attend. Each session will be limited to the first 300 people to register.
