Learn About the Child Care Resources NC State Offers

NC State maintains a robust list of child care resources for employees. Here’s a reminder about some of the benefits the program offers.

Bright Horizons Subsidy Program

Bright Horizons is NC State’s preferred child care vendor. Full-time staff, postdoctoral scholars, house officers and faculty are eligible to utilize this benefit, which gives priority access to approximately 100 child care slots at the nine Bright Horizons Triangle-area locations. The university pays a percentage-based subsidy on Bright Horizons’ tuition rates for eligible employees. NC State provides an 11% subsidy on tuition rates for families with a total income of $70,000 or more per year. For families whose income is less than $70,000 per year, NC State provides a 35% subsidy. These tuition rates are based on family income level, which Bright Horizons verifies annually. Rates are subject to change annually.

To inquire about this program, contact a local Bright Horizons center.
