Here are some important year-end reminders:
- NC State will observe winter break Dec. 23 and 26-30 and will observe the New Year’s Day holiday Jan. 2, 2023. The university will be closed on those days, and employees will receive holiday pay for each day except for Dec. 23. Employees who want to receive pay for Dec. 23 must use annual leave, bonus leave, special bonus leave or comp time. You also can also use personal observance leave.
- Eligible NC State employees can use up to eight hours of paid time off to observe a personal day of significance, including days of religious or cultural importance. Employees’ allotment of personal observance leave for 2022 will expire on Dec. 31. For more information about this leave time, see the list of FAQs on the University Human Resources website.
